Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock Vaultron?
Draw your pattern on the 5×5 grid of dots. When the pattern matches, the vault it belongs to opens.
Can I have more than one vault?
Yes. Each pattern opens its own vault. Drawing a different pattern opens a different vault, and the contents of one vault are not visible from another.
What is the 24-word recovery phrase?
When you set up encrypted iCloud backups, Vaultron shows you a recovery phrase of 24 words. On a new iPhone or iPad, you enter this phrase to restore your encrypted backup. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe, separate from your device.
I forgot my pattern. Can Thundera reset it?
No. Nobody, Thundera included, can recover a forgotten pattern without the recovery phrase. Keep your 24-word recovery phrase safe.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Vaultron subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. To view, change or cancel a subscription, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions and choose Vaultron. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I open a vault someone shared with me?
A shared vault arrives as a .vaultron file. Open the file with Vaultron (for example from Files, Mail or Messages), then enter the passphrase the sender gave you. Ask the sender to share the passphrase separately from the file.
