iPhone and iPad sync

Sync keeps your vaults in step between an iPhone and an iPad, through your own private iCloud. It is a Pro feature.

Turning sync on

• Sync is switched on in Settings. It needs a Pro plan.
• It uses the same private iCloud database as the encrypted backup. See Backup and recovery.

Adding a second device

Restore a vault once on the other device, using your recovery phrase. After that, changes to the vault sync between the devices.

How quickly changes arrive

Sync checks for changes about once a minute. Changes are not instant or real-time.

Limits

• Sync depends on iCloud being available on both devices.
• Pro sync keeps a copy of the recovery key wrapped under your vault keys. The security page explains what that means: Security.
